Apple Watch Series 7 is up for pre-order: specs and launch date

The Apple Watch Series 7  is available for pre-order before the launch date, 15th October . However, consumers can now pre-order the Apple Watch Series 7 as the facility for pre-ordering started from 8th October to ensure that it does not run out of stock before they get a chance to buy it.

The Apple Watch Series 7 comes in 41mm and 45mm sizes and is packed in an IP6X rated body. The watch comes with an electrical heart sensor and a Blood Oxygen sensor. It will support the ECG and Blood Oxygen apps. The Apple Watch Series 7 comes with watchOS 8 along with new features such as a brand new QWERTY keyboard. There will be two new watch faces, namely Contour and Modular Duo. The Apple Watch Series 7 also claims to deliver 18-hour battery life and comes with 33% faster charging.

 

Apple has announced that it’s Watch Series 7 will release in waves, with the first wave starting on 15th October. The product will be available globally in countries like Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Russia, South Korea, the UAE, the UK, the US, and more than 50 other countries.

The official pricing for the variants has not been released, however, Flipkart has begun listing pricings on their website. On this website you’ll find that the 41-mm size variant of the Aluminium-made Apple Watch Series 7 GPS variant is available for Rs. 41,900. Additionally, the 45-mm version of the GPS model will be available for a price of Rs. 44,900. The Apple Watch Series 7 GPS + Cellular option appeared on Flipkart at Rs. 50,900 for the 41mm variant and Rs. 53,900 for the 45mm option.

The upcoming smartwatch may get a new advanced sensor from Rockley Photonics. This sensor named “Clinic on Wrist” would enable plenty of tracking biomarkers like core body temperature, blood pressure, body hydration, alcohol, lactate, and glucose trends, and more.

Some images of the smartwatch on Twitter showcased the smartwatch replicas in Space Gray, Silver, and Space Black colour options. However, these clones didn’t look as refined as the actual product

There are rumours about the inclusion of a micro-LED display. This rumour is backed by a report from Macrumors that says Apple could be working with a Taiwanese manufacturer to bring new panels to the Watch in 2021. Apart from this, the watch may also feature a Touch-ID based fingerprint scanner.
