Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 release date, specs & price

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series is rumored to go official alongside the Galaxy S22 early next year. The series includes three tablets, namely- Tab S8, Tab S8+, and Tab S8 Ultra. Here’s a look at the specs, leaked renders, rumoured date of release, price and all we know about Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series.

Leakster, OnLeaks, gave us our first look at the vanilla Galaxy Tab S8 yesterday. Now he’s back with a new set of  renders, revealing the Tab S8 Ultra’s design. The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra looks similar to the vanilla model. It has antenna lines on the rear panel with a dual camera setup in the top-left corner. Below this is the magnetic strip to charge the S Pen, and the Samsung logo further below.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra: Specs and leaked renders

Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra measures 325.8 x 207.9 x 5.4mm, with the screen measuring 14.6″ diagonally. Previous leaks claimed this is an OLED panel with a 2,960×1,848-pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Tab S8 Ultra  may also sport the  Snapdragon 888 SoC with two memory options – 8GB/128GB and 12GB/512GB.

The dual camera system on the rear comprises of 13MP and 5MP cameras. The slate may feature two cameras on the front – 8MP and 5MP. But we only see one camera in the latest render. Therefore, we’ll have to wait for more sources to corroborate the specs to be sure. The device will also support a 12,000 mAh battery with 45W charging support.

Expected Price

The base WiFi-only Tab S8 costs KRW₩829,000 (£530/€610/US$750). However, the LTE version starts at ₩929,000 (£590/€685/US$840) and the 5G variant costs from ₩1,029,000 (£655/€780/US$930).

However, Tab S8+ which starts at ₩1,149,00 (£730/€850/US$1,040). The LTE version will be available for ₩1,249,000 (£795/€920/US$1,130). And the addition of 5G raises the starting price to ₩1,349,000 (£860/€1,000/US$1,220).

And lastly, we have Tab S8 Ultra which costs from ₩1,469,000 (£940/€1,085/US$1,325) for wifi. For LTE version it costs ₩1,569,000 (£1,000/€1,160/US$1,415). And ₩1,669,000 (£1,065/€1,230/US$1,510) for  5G model.

The Moto Tab G20 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22T chipset paired with 3GB of RAM. The tablet also boasts 32GB of storage that is expandable via microSD card (Up to 2TB). The Tab G20 sports a 5,100 mAh battery with 10W charging support. The Lenovo owned company claims that the battery can deliver 18 hours of browsing and 15 hours of watching videos.

The Tab G20 tablet offers connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. As far as the design is concerned, the G20 features a sleek metal body with a premium finish. The Tab G20 is rebranded version of the Lenovo Tab M8 (3rd Gen) that was launched in June in other markets.

The tablet comes with a mono speaker, a headphone jack, and Dolby Atmos. It also features a dedicated Google Kids Space with parent controls. The Moto Tab G20 also has an 8-inch IPS LCD panel that offers an HD+ resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels. It is equipped with TDDI technology that promises crisp and clear visuals.

The tablet features a 5 MP rear camera with autofocus and a 2 MP front camera for video calling. The Tab G20 also sports an 8-inch HD+ (1280×800 pixels) LCD panel with 350 nits of brightness. The tablet runs on Android 11.

The Moto Tab G20 will be available at Rs 10,999 in India. The tablet arrives in a single Platinum Grey colour. The Tab G20 will be available for pre-order through Flipkart from October 2. Motorola is  offering Rs 1,000 extra off on exchange as well as a 10 percent discount on Axis Bank and ICICI Bank cards.
