Zoom has added a new Focus mode feature to its video conferencing app. The new mode aims at keeping students away from distractions while in a virtual classroom. It is enables teachers to hide videos and screen shares of students so that they won’t be able to see what their peers are doing in the class. With the new feature, Zoom will allow the meeting host to access all of the meeting’s participants videos. And at the same time giving them control to hide users in the meeting from seeing the live videos of their peers.

“Focus Mode allows educators to see their students’ videos, and students see their teachers without seeing other participants. With this feature, teachers can supervise their class. However, students won’t be distracted by their peers’ video feeds or feel self-conscious about turning on their own camera,” said Zoom in a statement.

How to activate Focus mode feature in Zoom during a meeting

To activate the Focus mode feature  you need to follow these steps:

  • First, start a new meeting as a host or a co-host. You can also join a meeting as a co-host.
  • Now locate the “More” option inside of the meeting toolbar and click it.
  • Select the “Start Focus Mode” option.
  •  Then, Click “Start” to confirm.
  • After the Focus mode begins, Zoom will notify all participants including you with a banner on the top of the video.
  • The Focus mode option will also remain always visible in the top-left corner of the video.

The new Nokia G50 could soon be up for a launch soon as some of the smartphone’s key features and specifications have surfaced online via a listing on China’s TENAA certification site. The upcoming smartphone is going to be the cheapest 5G offering from the company. It may launch in certain markets in September.

The upcoming Nokia smartphone come with a 6.82-inch HD+ (720×1,640 pixel) IPS LCD display. As per the listing, the smartphone could measure 173.83×77.68×8.85mm and weigh 220 grams. The listing also mentions that the smartphone could get 2GB, 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB RAM options and may come in 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage variants. The storage could also be expanded via a microSD up to 1TB.

Nokia G50 might come with  Android 11 out-of-the-box. It might feature a 2GHz octa-core processor with the Snapdragon 480 5G SoC.

The smartphone may come with a triple rear camera setup, headlined by a 48-megapixel primary sensor. TENAA lists the smartphone to have 720p video recording capability with an 8-megapixel selfie camera as well. Nokia G50 is might come with a 4,850mAh battery. It may sport features such as, gravity sensors, distance sensors, and light sensors. Connectivity options could include dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.

The upcoming smartphone may come in Blue and Midnight Sun colour options and support 5G connectivity. But the design appears to be similar to the one found on Nokia G10 and Nokia G20. The rear panel has a gradient finish while the front gets a waterdrop-style notch for the selfie camera.

Nokia G50 could be available in the UK for GBP 207 (roughly Rs. 20,800) for the 4GB + 64GB storage variant. The 4GB + 128GB storage variant could be priced at AUD 477 (roughly Rs. 25,700).

This rumour is backed by a report from Macrumors that says Apple could be working with a Taiwanese manufacturer to bring new panels to the Watch in 2021. Apart from this, the watch may also feature a Touch-ID based fingerprint scanner.
